Monticello Rod and Gun Club

The Monticello Rod and Gun Club is now affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP).

MRGC members are now able to order from the Civilian Marksmanship Program. If you are not sure how to order through the CMP, there are several YouTube videos that can guide you through the process. You must be a MRGC member to use this program. If you would like to order a gun through the CMP, contact Wade Smith at grampawade@gmail.com or Mike Taylor at cjspenser@gmail.com for the MRGC affiliation number.

Monthly Activity before Membership Meetings (May-October, weather permitting)

We will hold an event before every monthly membership meeting starting at 5pm. Last year in May we held a Cowboy Night, June we had a Military Gun Night and Veteran’s Night, July was $6 Trap Night, August we had a Steak Fry and Potluck, September was Defensive Pistol and Carbine League Night, October we had a Mini Hunting and Fishing Swap meet. Check back often and have fun getting involved.

Monthly Members Meeting

March 27th, 2025

7 pm Meeting

Although we are a private Club, we welcome the public to join us Wednesday evenings for summer and fall trap leagues, public practice trap shooting and our Thursday evening defensive pistol/carbine league. Also open to the public is our fall rifle sight in just prior to deer hunting season. All year our members can enjoy our two spacious 0 to 50 yard pistol/rifle ranges “A” and “B” in addition to an archery only range, our 100 yard rifle range, and our two trap fields. The pistol and rifle ranges offer an excellent back drop for your paper / non-deflective targets. No Steel or any targets that may cause a ricochet! No Exploding targets. Please be aware that we are in a neighborhood. We ask you to limit continued rapid fire especially with muzzle breaks creating prolonged loud noise.

MR&GC Club shooting hours are 10 am to sunset daily.

NOTE: all members are required to sign in with their name and the names of any guests (limit 2 guests per member). The sign-in box is located on the grey board after you come through the gate entrance.
